Making History

As the Making History project comes to a close, I am very happy with my project and all that I have learned about foster care this year. I learned so many important details about foster care, and how being in a foster home as a child greatly effects their mental health in the future. I was also astounded by the percentage of children that stay in foster care and foster homes for more than 6 months. I am very happy with my blog and all the posts and information I have shared here. I hope my blog was informative and helped spread the word about foster care and foster children. The keepsakes I have created turned about really nicely, and I am very happy with them. Although there was no place to volunteer around my area, I am thrilled that I still am able to make a foster child smile with the knit keepsakes I have created. Overall, I think the Making History project went very well, and I was able to learn a lot and help a cause that I am very passionate about. Here are some pictures of the final project.
